A collaborative clinical conference
July 2017
SHARING OPTIONS:
KEARNEY, Neb.—The Bridging Clinical Research and Clinical Health Care Collaborative has announced that next year it will unite industry leaders from
pharma, biotech, contract research, healthcare organizations, advocacy groups and the FDA in a conference to advance patients’ and physicians’
participation in the conducting of clinical trials. The event will take place at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, Md.,
April 4-5. Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the FDA, will serve as the keynote speaker.
“Poor recruitment is the leading cause of failure in clinical trials. Less than 3 percent of patients and physicians
participate … As I am passionate about helping patients, I have established the Bridging Clinical Research and Clinical Health Care Collaborative with
the support from health science colleagues and organizations so we can actualize a solution,” said Cinda Orr, president and CEO of SCORR
Marketing.
