Compact 8-channel Whole-Cell Patch Clamp Amplifier
October 2007
SHARING OPTIONS:

Tecella announces the introduction of Triton, the world's smallest full-featured 8-channel patch clamp amplifier.  By utilizing Tecella's revolutionary ExtenCell technology, the Triton achieves an unprecedented level of miniaturization. The Triton has 8 full-featured whole-cell patch clamp amplifiers fully contained within the Triton case and controlled through a USB 2.0 interface. Each amplifier has both fast and slow capacitance compensations for neutralizing probe and whole-cell capacitances, series resistance compensation, zap function and a programmable Bessel filter.  The on-board digitizer consists of a 12-bit waveform generator and 16-bit data acquisition system.  All of this in a compact case measuring just 10" x 7" x 1.5" (25cm x 18cm x 4cm). The Triton comes with easy-to-use GUI software and automated compensation.  Internal model cells simplify self-calibration and data validation, and the current clamp can be applied to any one of the 8 channels. The optional analog leak compensation circuit allows quality data acquisition even under low seal resistance conditions.
