Qiagen’s new FastLane Cell cDNA Kit helps prepare first-strand cDNA directly from cultured cells with no RNA purification steps in about 45 minutes. The fast procedure makes it easy to perform real-time, two-step RT-PCR analysis of several samples within a few hours. The purification strategy in this kit integrates rapid cell lysis, immediate RNA stabilization, elimination of genomic DNA, and efficient and sensitive reverse transcription. The simplicity of the kit makes this product especially applicable to validation of siRNA-mediated gene knockdown or snapshot analysis of gene expression in cells under different conditions. The kit is dsigned to keep RNA transcripts intact while maintaining optimal reaction conditions for reverse transcription in order to provide high cDNA yields.
