WINOOSKI, Vt.—BioTek Instruments announced in January the establishment of its newest European direct sales and service organization, BioTek Instruments (Switzerland) GmbH. BioTek Switzerland was created from a previous partnership with Witec AG in Littau, Switzerland, and will be managed by Margrit Limacher, Witec’s founder. Limacher will also continue management of the existing Witec AG, with a focus on life science products at the same location.

“This new company is a logical result of Witec’s successful BioTek division business operations, and is expected to offer the same level of professional service and support for future growth,” Limacher says. “Our customers will continue to have unrestricted and competent service and support when evaluating BioTek’s microplate instrumentation solutions.”
