PRINCETON, N.J.—A three-year, exclusive integrated drug development agreement was recently announced between Covance Inc. and BioPontis Alliance to manage early development of scientific discoveries from academia. Under the agreement, Covance will serve as BioPontis Alliance’s exclusive provider of drug development services, including preclinical, bioanalytical, discovery support, CMC, clinical, central labs and commercialization. BioPontis Alliance works to develop early-stage discoveries and technologies, and under the new arrangement, Covance will manage the necessary services for moving compounds from lead optimization to the clinic.
