Genisphere, LIMR partner on nanotherapeutics

HATFIELD, Pa.Genisphere and the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR), a nonprofit biomedical research center based in Wynnewood, Pa., have announced an expansion of their existing partnership. The companies, which have been working together on identifying biomarkers of inflammatory bowel disease, are partnering to develop nanotherapeutics to target cancers and eye diseases. Financial details and additional agreement terms were not disclosed.
 
"LIMR is fortunate to partner with Genisphere for the development of its cancer nanotherapies. Given the wonderful intersection of these two organizations, we will have the right tools and skill sets to strengthen the path forward for clinical testing and ultimately commercialization," Dr. George Prendergast, president and CEO of LIMR, said in a press release regarding the partnership.
