2017 sees 2nd Annual NGS Conference

HYDERABAD, India—This past February saw Cancer Genetics India and CSIR-Centre for
Cellular and Molecular Biology serve as the joint organizers for the 2nd Annual NGS Conference, which unites scientists to discuss updates and
impact of next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics in areas such as agri-genomics, onco-genomics, microbiology and human genetics. CG India and CSIR-
CCMB are optimistic that this platform will help to encourage research collaborations focused on improving human health.
Panna Sharma, president and CEO of CGI, commented in a statement at the time that “As we help molecular oncologists gain novel insights in the
molecular epidemiology of certain cancers in the Indian context, we look forward to developing research and clinical collaborations with leading cancer
research centers and academic institutions.”
