January 2010
SHARING OPTIONS:
Corning Inc.
Corning Inc. has announced its Osteo-Assay Surface for bone
cell assays, which is manufactured using a proprietary surface technology that
mimics in vivo bone and delivers high
lot-to-lot consistency, enabling researchers to achieve more predictable and
reproducible results. Corning's newest surface comes pre-applied in 24- and
96-well plate formats. These ready-to-use, multi-well plates also contain their
own bar code for efficient automated tracking. The surface is designed to
maintain and grow bone cells for assays; provide reliable, uniform and
consistent coating for direct assessment of bone cell function and
differentiation; enable high-content analysis; and be used for solution-based,
quantitative assays. The surface is currently available to U.S. customers.
